A Taste of Memories 回忆的味道

When I was young, I had a hobby which is eating and cooking. My 1^st bite of Chai Kueh melted in my mouth, and I instantly fell in love with it. Wanting to savour the good traditional food more often, the curiosity in me made me learn the recipe of making Chai Kueh from my grandmother and I still hold on to the fond memories of learning the recipe and skills in making a good Chai Kueh.

当我小的时候，我有一个爱好，那就是吃和烹饪。我第一口吃祖母烹饪的菜粿就在嘴里融化了，我立刻就爱上了它。想要更多地品尝到美味的传统食物，好奇心促使我向祖母学习了制作菜粿的食谱，并且至今仍保留着学习制作美味柴粿的食谱和技巧的美好回忆。

Where do we begin to Preserve Traditional Food Culture

MAMA was established in the year 2020, during which covid -19 pandemic struck the world. While lockdown is being enforced, we had the craving for Chai Kueh, but we cannot go out to buy. Friends and relatives also facing similar predicament, and we taught why not we take out our great-grandmother’s recipe and make the Chai Kueh ourselves.

And hence, we started making it for our own consumption, sending it over to our friends to share with them our love for Chai Kueh.

From there, demand picked up, we continued to produce for pre-orders that we received, overwhelming response received.

MAMA 成立于 2020 年，当时 covid -19 大流行席卷全球。封城期间，我们很想吃菜粿，但不能出去买。亲朋好友也面临同样的困境，我们就教大家为什么不拿出曾祖母的食谱，自己做菜粿。因此，我们开始制作它供自己食用，并将其发送给我们的朋友，与他们分享我们对菜粿的热爱。从那时起，需求回升，我们继续为收到的预订单生产，收到了压倒性的反响。

In keeping with the traditional recipe, we follow strict processing steps to produce quality-controlled Chai Kueh to be served to our customers.

A central kitchen was established in PENANG to ensure consistency in every batch that we produce. We also conduct development of new varieties to suit the taste buds of different demographics. All research and tasting are carried out in our central kitchen by the masters of Chai Kueh.
